About Smoking Cessation

Our Smoking Cessation Program is part of the Smoke-Free Ontario Strategy, designed to help adults quit smoking or reduce nicotine use. Our pharmacists provide one-on-one consultations, can create a tailored quitting plan, and provide ongoing follow-up to keep patients on track.

Our pharmacists guide you through the available treatment options, such as nicotine replacement therapy and prescription medications, and help you use them effectively. Additionally, you will receive support on managing common challenges, such as cravings, stress, and weight management.

Did You Know?

In Ontario, pharmacists can prescribe smoking cessation therapies, like varenicline and bupropion, to improve your chances of quitting. If you’re an Ontario Drug Benefit (ODB) recipient, you may also be eligible for government-funded services, including one-on-one support from your pharmacist for up to a year.
